African Boxing signs a long-term sponsorship deal with Sting to become the official Boxing Equipment Supplier. African Boxing has agreed to a commercial partnership with Sting, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of premium boxing equipment.

The exclusive, long-term sponsorship deal means Sting will become African Boxing’s official equipment supplier and provide all the gloves, protectives, hand-wraps, tapes and training equipment used by boxers during official African Boxing tournaments including African Boxing Championships.

The agreement also includes, that Sting will provide expertise and advice on the development of competition equipment and contribute to the work of African Boxing’s Sport and Competition Committee.

African Boxing’s President, Solomon Kargbo, said: “we want the best for our boxers. Signing a partnership with one of the world’s top suppliers of premium boxing equipment is extremely positive for African Boxing and its members. It shows that a leading boxing brand like Sting shares our values and principles and want to be associated with African Boxing.

“This deal will significantly enhance the quality and prestige of our competitions and is great news for all of the boxers using Sting equipment in African Boxing tournaments in the coming years, as they know they will be competing with top quality products and equipment.”

Sting is a supplier of premium boxing equipment for Olympic boxers, professionals and fitness participants. Sting has agreements with around 30 leading National Federations and is the exclusive Equipment Supplier for World Boxing.

The partnership comes at an important time for African Boxing, following a strong showing by the continent at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, where 16 African nations competed in the boxing competition. With the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games now on the horizon, the partnership between African Boxing and Sting will play an important role in supporting the continued development of athletes, competitions and boxing across the continent, while ensuring African boxers have access to world-class equipment as they compete on the international stage.
