Disciplinary Sanctions – Mr Alpha Amadou

African Boxing announces that its Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has issued a final decision on 22 June 2026 concerning Mr Alpha Amadou Baldé - Member and former President of Guinea Boxing Federation, following duly conducted disciplinary proceedings.

The Committee found that Mr Baldé committed serious breaches of the African Boxing Ethics and Disciplinary Code and the World Boxing Code of Conduct, including conduct that undermined the authority and honour of the President of African Boxing and damaged the reputation of the institution.

Despite being formally notified and invited to submit a written explanation and attend a hearing on 16 June 2026, Mr Baldé failed to respond and did not appear. The case was therefore decided in absentia, in accordance with applicable regulations.

In light of the seriousness of the violations, the Committee has imposed the following sanctions: a fine of CHF 20,000 and a four (4) year suspension from all boxing-related activities at national, continental, and international levels.

The decision takes immediate effect and is binding on all members and stakeholders under the jurisdiction of African Boxing.
African Boxing reaffirms its commitment to integrity, discipline, and good governance in line with international standards and the values of the Olympic Movement.
